Green Oaks Young Voices

Our schools have a long history of promoting and celebrating musical talent.

The Green Oaks Choir is led by staff from across the Federation and gives children from Year 2 - 6 the opportunity to sing and perform together.  The choir also performs at the village festival and other community and County events.

Choir is a whole year commitment and children are invited to join choir at the start of the Autumn Term

Music Lessons

Music lessons take place after school and are available at Greenfields for Years 3 - 6. Your child will be allocated a time slot based on availability.

Keyboard, Strings, Woodwind and Brass are all provided by Hampshire Music Service and must be booked for the whole academic year. Please look out for an email in the Summer Term inviting you to register your child's interest in music lessons.

Rock and Pop Guitar and Drum Lessons

The Rock and Pop Guitar and Drum lessons are provided independently of Hampshire Music Service and lessons and payment are organised by the provider.  For details of how to book your lessons please contact Rock and Pop: www.rockandpopfoundation.com

Rock Steady Band Lessons

Rock Steady provide weekly group music lessons as part of a 'Rock Band' format. Lessons take place in school and children can choose to play either vocals, electric guitar, drums, bass, or keyboards in their very own band. All instruments are provided, and no previous experience is necessary. Bookings are taken directly with Rock Steady. If you would like to find out more, please see the following link for more details: https://www.rocksteadymusicschool.com/info-for-parents

Languages

Both schools are able to offer an after school  language club through external providers.  These are bookable through the links above.

Please note that no snacks or additional drinks are needed if your child attends an after school club or activity and these should not be provided due to food allergy safety.
