Pupil Premium

We understand that with the cost of living crisis many families may be finding it difficult to pay for school lunches, trips, uniforms or clubs. If so, you may be eligible for Pupil Premium Grant funding:

  • are eligible for a free school meal due to low income
  • are in care, fostered or adopted
  • have a parent in the Armed Services

At Green Oaks we carefully consider the potential barriers to achievement that may exist for these pupils and plan to remove these through intervention and support.

This may include:

  • providing uniform and resources
  • ensuring pupils are able to attend school trips and visits
  • enabling pupils to attend clubs and tuition
  • improving educational outcomes through support and intervention
  • providing emotional and well-being support through our school ELSAs [Emotional Literacy Support Assistants]

Our Pupil Premium Plan is reviewed each academic year and agreed by our School Governing Body.

To check your eligibility, please visit and apply online.

After making an application, If you are eligible the school will be notified directly and will contact you. If you have any questions regarding pupil Premium eligibility, please contact the School Office.

Use of Pupil Premium at Green Oaks Federation

At Green Oaks Federation, we have high expectations for all our pupils and work hard to ensure that all pupils make good progress across the school and achieve their best. Each pupil’s progress is evaluated at three milestones over the course of the year through Pupil Progress Meetings and additional support is provided for any pupils at risk of not making good progress.

Our Pupil Premium Lead and Assistant Headteacher at Greenfields, Mrs Magowan, has particular responsibility for ensuring that there is high-quality provision for children receiving Free School Meals or who are Looked After at both schools. Mrs Magowan meets with the designated Pupil Premium Governor once a term.

Pupil Premium Lead closely monitors and evaluates the academic progress, attendance and attainment of each Pupil Premium child and the associated groups.

Our Inclusion Leader takes on the role of Designated Teacher for our Looked after and Post looked after children at each school. The Pupil Premium Lead liaises with the Inclusion Leader regarding the provisions and funding in place.
